Co-curricular Activities

1. MOU with BSNL: College has entered into a MoU with BSNL to provide state of art telecom equipment based operational skills to engineering graduates under the Employability Enhancement Training Program (EETP) of AICTE through BSNL Training Centers. This training will make them handle live telecom switching, transmission and IP network equipment, understand comprehensive integration of all telecom equipment, design switching, transmission and IP networks for SME for wired and wireless networks and ultimately make them industry ready engineers. 2. GATE Club: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an All-India examination that primarily tests a comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology. Engineering students generally appear at GATE because the score is useful for admissions in ME/M.Tech courses and screening of candidates in public sector units. In order to prepare students for GATE institute has established GATE Club. The objective of GATE CLUB is to identify interested meritorious students and motivate them for admission to postgraduate programs in engineering at the national level. Experienced faculty of the college prepares 3rd and 4th year students for GATE using up-to-date resources available at the institute. 3. Student Forums: Each department of the college has established Department Student Forums. Activities like screening technical movie, technical presentations, professional body activities like American Society of Civil Engineers, quiz competitions, debate, discussion on latest technological development, promoting membership of professional bodies etc are carried out every week for an hour. The Student Forums provide the opportunity to faculty and students to take up activities to go beyond syllabus. The students eagerly wait for the hour of Student Forum activity and participate very enthusiastically in the forum activities. 4. Institute has created all the required facilities to receive such webinars. Faculty and students regularly attend such webinars to update their knowledge. These webinars are proved very useful for faculty in improving their teaching. 6. Mobile & Wireless Technology Club: The institute has established Mobile and Wireless Technology Club (MWTC) as per the guidelines of GTU to make the students of Electronics & Communication engineering, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering aware of the latest development in this field. The programs are arranged as per the schedule of GTU. 7. Training and Placement Activities: The college has established Training and Placement Cell (TPC) and appointed Training and Placement Officer. TPC creates the database of student’s academic records and other achievements and sends to prospective recruiters or recruiting agencies. It conducts personality development programs for students and trains them for group discussions and personal interviews. The TPC also keeps liaison with industries and arranges lectures by industry experts. 8.
